Helen serves as President of YCB. She graduated from Yale School of Management in Master of Advanced Management program. She also holds a MBA degree from Renmin University of China. She is currently Deputy Secretary General of Baidu Foundation, which is devoted to solve problems on healthcare, education, poverty, environmental conservation. Prior to this, she was Deputy General Manager of Technology Department in China DBSTAR Co., Ltd, in charge of a RMB 650-million-yuan government project. Prior to this, she had worked in Beijing for Huawei and 3com-Huawei for decade as manager, in which she is responsible for big projects management for rapidly growing department during expansion from 40 to 700 people.
Ming graduated from Yale College in 2011, majoring in East Asian Studies. Since graduation, she has devoted her time and efforts to international education first as a Teaching Fellow at Teach for China (2011-2013) and currently as an Outreach Officer at the Institute of International Education. In her spare time, when she is not traveling for work, she practices yoga and pole dancing.
Amber graduated from Yale University (Morse College) in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. At Yale, she played varsity tennis for three years and was a part of two Ivy League Championship teams. She also participated in an outreach project in which she taught Mandarin to the local New Haven community and was a member of a senior society. Amber is currently pursuing an LL.M degree at Renmin University of China and works for an education start-up, SnapLingo.
Born in Vietnam and raised in the City of Brotherly Love, Chinh graduated from Yale in 2013 with a degree in Psychology. Having traveled throughout his childhood, high school, and college years, nobody was surprised (except maybe Chinh’s mother) when he picked up his bags after graduation and moved to China to work with the Yale-China Association.
While at Yali High School in Changsha, Hunan, Chinh worked with over 500 students as a teacher, counselor, and even musical director. He now works as an education consultant in Beijing.
Chinh loves a strong cup of coffee and his mother’s Vietnamese cooking. While in China, Chinh has been strengthening his grasp of Mandarin and learning more about Chinese history.
Shawn Moore is a graduate of Bard College and Yale University. An Asian Studies major and long time China watcher, he has been living in Beijing since the fall of 2014. Shawn is the regional representative for Bard College admissions, and is concurrently pursuing his career as a concert violinist with performances in China, the US and other locations throughout the world. Shawn is passionate about learning languages and communication in general – be it musical, linguistic or otherwise!
Kaichen graduated from Yale Law School (JD ’04). Prior to founding Fadoushi.com (法斗士网), he was a partner at DLA Piper, one of the largest international firms in the world.
